Helena Singer holds a doctorate in sociology from the University of São Paulo (USP). She also has a post-doctoral degree in education from the State University of Campinas. Ms. Singer is published both in Brazil and abroad on the topics of education and human rights. Among other works, she is the author of “República de Crianças," about children's school experiences (Mercado de Letras, 2010) and organizer of the book collection “Territórios Educativos: experiências em Diálogo com o Bairro-escola” (Moderna, 2015). She is a member of the Advanced Studies Institute of USP, the Reference Center in Integral Education, and of the Janusz Korczak Association of Brazil.
